| Hearware is going to catch on. The result of a project undertaken by the UK's RNID, Hearware aims to revolutionize the hearing aid device, by bringing together tecnhnical advances with new avenues in design and fashion. The hearware display is currently underway at the V&A Museum in London and runs until March 06. This features the work of such talent as Ross Lovegrove, Priestman Goode, Industrial Facility and IDEO. Hearware not only promotes good aesthetic appeal, but also focuses the design on user experience and need. For example, one product allows users to seamlessly hear conversation in a noisy bar, or the Goldfish product which continuously caches the previous 10 seconds of conversation to allow you to catch someones name. We can think of a lot of products for people without hearing impairments that could use a little design inspiration from Hearware... |
